Bjorn Hardley signs contract with Manchester United
Last month Bjorn Hardley signed his first professional contract with Manchester United. Bjorn came from NAC Breda’s youth academy last summer and signed a scholarship with Manchester United. With his first professional contract, Bjorn will be a Manchester United player for the next few years.
Orlando Engelaar on the development of Bjorn: Bjorn has had a good first six months at Manchester United. When you take into account that it was a very big step both from a sports point of view as well as from a private perspective, he’s done very well considering his age. He had a great time from the start and felt that the people at the club were happy that he had made the switch to Manchester United’s youth academy. That together with his outgoing character and his urge to succeed have ensured that the adaptation at Manchester United, in a new environment with a different culture and language, has been quite smooth.
A great confirmation of that was a conversation we had with the club in December. They were very satisfied with his footballing development, but what was particularly striking was the fact that Björn didn’t seem like a player from abroad, but like a homegrown player who has been with the club for years. An excellent basis for further development and growth at this great club!
On behalf of the whole team of SeiSei we wish Bjorn the best of luck in the coming years at Manchester United,
