Small town singer Nick Klein was off to a flying start with his two-piece formation Klyne – their debut album accumulated over 50 million streams, they played major festivals like SXSW and Lowlands, and signed to the same label as Major Lazer, Diplo, and Daft Punk. Both members had solo ambitions and decided to focus on their projects in 2018.
Now known as Nick Klyne, he developed a more commercial and polished sound. His first single “Rain On Your Parade” which he co-wrote with a Swedish producer, is a strong launch of his solo career. The song is reminiscent of Sam Smith meets The Weekend meets Hozier. It tells a story about a toxic relationship in which the person who has allowed to be treated as a doormat, finally musters up enough courage to confront his partner.
Rain On Your Parade is released today, Friday June 5 through 8ball Music.
