Rico Verhoeven has extended his contract with GLORY. The Dutchman, reigning heavyweight world champion, has been the flagship of GLORY Kickboxing for years. After long and intensive negotiations, GLORY and Rico came to an agreement for a three year multi-fight deal.
“Hopefully we can drive the kickboxing sport together to even greater heights,” says Zelaznik. “From day 1, it is my goal to take this sport to a new level. Work never stops. Believe me, you haven’t seen anything yet,” Rico said.
Main drivers of the new deal are adding more value to both brands and further innovation of the sports in general on one side, but also allowing Rico to further develop his brand in new markets. Within GLORY Rico’s also able to develop his auxiliary activities outside (but still beneficial to) the sport.
