We are delighted to announce that Thomas Beelen has extended his contract with Feyenoord Rotterdam. The 23-year-old defender, who was already signed through mid-2027, has put pen to paper on a new agreement, keeping him at De Kuip until mid-2028.

“Feyenoord extending my contract is a great gesture, and it feels really good,” says Beelen. “I feel at home here. Over the past six months, I’ve played a lot, experienced some great moments, and won the KNVB Cup. Next season, we will be back in the Champions League, and we also aim to compete for other trophies. I’m really looking forward to that challenge, and to all the fans, whose support I felt strongly last year. I can’t wait to play again at De Kuip and see them there.”

Beelen joined Feyenoord from PEC Zwolle in the summer of 2023. The Harderwijk-born defender made an immediate impact in his debut season with solid performances and decisive defensive actions. Particularly in the second half of the season, Beelen emerged as a reliable force in the team’s defense. With 26 first-team appearances to his name, he played a key role in Feyenoord’s successful season, including winning the TOTO KNVB Cup.
