We are pleased to announce that Myron van Brederode is taking the next step in his career in Belgium. The 22-year-old winger has signed a four-year contract with KV Mechelen, joining from AZ Alkmaar, where he rose through the academy ranks into the first team.
He made his official debut for AZ on May 15, 2022, and went on to play 84 matches, scoring nine goals and gave 5 assists. Last season Myron gained valuable experience on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga, making 24 appearances and scoring four times.
He is also a Dutch youth international and represented the Netherlands U23 squad at this summer’s European Championship.
With his move to KV Mechelen, Myron embraces a fresh challenge at a club that has started the Jupiler Pro League season strongly. Together with Myron, we look forward to this exciting new chapter and all that lies ahead.
